Using Hair Bleach
Hair bleach is simple to use and inexpensive to get hold of. With a little care and practice, you will wonder why people ever both to use the salon, while you are rocking your D-I-Y highlights for all to see.
As long as you don't use other chemicals in your hair at the same time (natural products are fine), it is actually quite difficult for something to go wrong.
Don't mix a hydrogen peroxide solution greater than 3% consistency, and avoid getting the stuff in your eyes. Other than that, it should be smooth sailing.
Before you bleach your hair, use natural shampoo and conditioner to remove any oils or grease that has built up in your hair. Dry it naturally using a towel or let it air dry. DO NOT use a hair dryer or irons.
Apply a small amount to a few strands of hair first, this will avoid a disaster if you have mixed it wrong or do not leave it in for long enough. 30 minutes should be sufficient, but if your hair is particularly dark or you want strong highlights, you might need to adjust this time.
When you are satisfied, apply the bleach to the rest of your hair. Organize it into sections using hair clips to help you get all the strands and make an even spread.
Leave it all to try, then wash again using conditioner to get rid of any uncomfortable dryness or irritation that may have been caused by the hydrogen peroxide. It is once again essential to use natural products, and let the hair dry naturally. Using chemicals or heat at this point could mess up the peroxide and undo all of your hard work.
With careful planning and patience, anybody can use hair bleach to create a professional look without breaking the bank. The more you practice, the better you will become.
